1. Ready to Use Immediately
This board has been pre-seasoned with pure coconut oil, so it's ready to use immediately. YAY! But just like every wooden cutting board - it requires regular seasonings at least once a month.
To season your board, we recommend using all-natural Wood Oil and Wood Wax.
To take really, really good care of it, we recommend seasoning your board every other week. At a minimum, you should season your board once a month or anytime the wood looks or feels dry.
Keeping your board well seasoned is essential to protecting the wood when being washed, preventing stains and cracks, and keeping it healthy and hydrated so it will last you many years to come.
2. Condition with Beeswax & Coconut Oil Wax
A combination of beeswax and coconut oil is the ideal conditioning. Coconut oil has penetrating properties, while the beeswax has sealing qualities.
Together, they are a powerful duo in superior wood care.
To condition your new treasure, we recommend using all-natural Wood Oil and/or Wood Wax. Apply oil or wax with a clean, lint-free cloth.
3. Hand Wash and Spot Clean Only - Never Submerge in Water
Whenever it needs to be cleaned, give it a gentle hand wash (spot clean only). Mild soap, a non-abrasive sponge and warm water are your friends here, but steer clear of the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel immediately after spot cleaning.
Warning: Excess exposure to water (letting water seep into the wood) will damage your new treasure, so please treat it with care!
