Because we care.

We care A LOT about what the food you're preparing comes in contact with and we want our products clean enough to eat off - literally.

While some companies cut corners by using wood imported from China or using cheaper, petroleum-based products like mineral oil to season their boards and make them more resistant to wear - we use fractionated coconut oil to season our cutting boards.

We care A LOT about making cooking is more creative fun and less tedious chore. We designed our knives with millimeter precision from a single piece of steel to feel like an extension of your arm.

While some companies cut corners, we use nothing but the best stainless steel and stabilized walnut wood to create cutlery that rests comfortably in the hand and provides much needed thumb stability for safe, easy and effortless use.

What to know before you buy

How do I take care of this board

1. Season Your Wood Cutting Board Regularly

This board has been pre-seasoned with pure coconut oil, so it's ready to use immediately. YAY! But just like every wooden cutting board - it requires regular seasonings at least once a month.

To season your board, we recommend using all-natural Wood Oil and Wood Wax. To take really, really good care of it, we recommend seasoning your board every other week. At a minimum, you should season your board once a month or anytime the wood looks or feels dry.

Keeping your board well seasoned is essential to protecting the wood when being washed, preventing stains and cracks, and keeping it healthy and hydrated so it will last you many years to come.

2. Beeswax & Coconut Oil Wax

A combination of beeswax and coconut oil is the ideal seasoning. Coconut oil has penetrating properties, while the beeswax has sealing qualities. Together, they are a powerful duo in superior cutting board care.

We recommend our Wood Oil for quick touch-ups in between applications of our Wood Wax. Apply oil or wax with a clean, lint-free cloth. Diligent seasoning will help ensure your board lasts a lifetime.

3. Hand Wash Only - Never Submerge in Water

Give it a gentle hand-wash whenever it needs to be cleaned. Mild soap, a non-abrasive sponge and warm water are your friends here, but steer clear of the dishwasher. The dishwasher will ruin it!

Dry the board with a kitchen towel immediately after rinsing and then let ii finish air drying vertically, so air can circulate on all sides and moisture doesn't get stuck underneath. Excess exposure to water (letting water seep into the wood) will cause warping and cracking.

What is this Product made from

All our products are made from solid American black walnut wood.

How long will THIS PRODUCT LAST?

Our products are designed to last a lifetime when taken care of properly.

For our cutting boards, because of the general wear and tear that happens to this highly used kitchen tool, it's very, very important to season the product regularly (1-2x a month depending on how frequently you use it) and follow all the care instructions to make sure it's always protected from excess moisture getting trapped inside the wood. This is far less of concern when it comes to our serving trays, lazy susan and knives.

With this in mind, we offer a 120-day home trial with a money back guarantee. After that time, if there is an issue with the product, we believe it is also the owner's responsibility to take proper care of their investments. That said, we will always do our best to work with you.

How does the Free returns and exchange program work?

If there is a defect in the wood or workmanship of your board, we will gladly offer your free return or exchange. For all other reasons, we will ask the customer to take care of costs related to the return shipping.

How do I take care of this KNIFE?

1. Clean & Dry Your Cutlery After Each Use

Our cutlery is made from the finest high-carbon stainless steel and our knives are fantastically sharp. To keep your cutlery in pristine condition, be sure to hand wash it with a mild soap and then dry it thoroughly after each use to keep rust and water spots away.

2. Dishwasher Approved But Not Our First Choice

While our cutlery is dishwasher approved, we think of these tools as investment pieces and recommend you handwash it. But if you're in a pinch every now and then, you won't ruin it -but it can cause blades to dull faster.

3. Give Your Knife a Protective Coat

A great way to help keep your knife in tip-top shape is to occasionally rub the (cleaned and dried) blade with coconut oil. This will keep it shimmering, sharp and spot-free while not in use.

4. Water Spots? Gently Scrub Away

If your blade does develop water spots, use a non-steel kitchen scrubber with mild dish soap. Gently scrub the stainless steel to get rid of pesky spots, and then hand-dry the knife immediately. It'd be a good idea to oil the knife blade again at this point.

5. Keep it Sharp!

It's like a tune-up for your knife. There are many ways to do this: using a honing steel, a knife stone or even sending it out to a professional. You'll be amazed at how easily that fantastically sharp blade comes back to life.

6. Cut on the Right Surface

By all means, please stay away from marble, glass or metal cutting boards - they may be glamorous, but they are AWFUL for your knife's blade. Plastic isn't much better, but it works. The best surface by far is a wood cutting board.

7. Channel Your Inner Sushi Chef

Next time you're in a sushi restaurant, see for yourself. Sushi chefs use a moist cloth to wipe off their tools in between using them with different foods. This is especially true when cutting highly acidic foods like lemons.

8. Handle with Care - Literally

Your new cutlery has a handle made of walnut wood that has been stabilized to prevent drying, cracking or splintering. But if you ever see signs of wear overtime, you'll want to season it. Use our all-natural wood seasoning to keep the wood extra hydrated.

What is this Product made from?

All our knife products are made from high carbon stainless steel and American sourced stabilized black walnut wood.

How long will THIS PRODUCT LAST?

Our products are designed to last a lifetime when taken care of properly.

For our knives, while they are built to be dishwasher friendly, it’s important to be mindful of how the blade and handle react to dishwasher detergents. If you notice the handle losing its luster or the blade’s edge softening, revert to hand washing the knife for the time being.

With this in mind, we offer a 120-day home trial with a money back guarantee. After that time, if there is an issue with the product, we believe it is also the owner's responsibility to take proper care of their investments. That said, we will always do our best to work with you.

Free returns + exchanges

If there is a defect in the wood or workmanship, we will gladly offer you a free return or exchange.

Giving you an edge in the kitchen

Use one side as a setting for cheese, charcuterie, and small bites
and the other side as a cutting surface. We love this trick
while we are entertaining!

We think clean kitchens are neat. That's why we carved a juice groove around the edges to catch runaway liquids from fruits, veggies and cooked meats.

Taper ground from top to bottom

Spine to blade taper gives a singular, full tang V shaped knife that glides effortlessly even though the toughest of raw root vegetables just like it were butter.

Ergonomic, palm-friendly handle

Made from stabilized walnut wood, each handle is designed to fit inside the curves of the palm of your hand to allow for comfortable, non-strained gripping.

Nothing but the best

All-natural and eco-friendly

What your food touches matters, which is why all our products are made with 100% clean and food-safe materials.

Steel that stays sharp

420HC high carbon stainless steel that’s been heat treated and tempered to a 58 Rockwell hardness means a blade that stays sharper for longer.

Legit Knife and Customer Service

Shout out to the VBK. I have been looking for a chef knife recently and somehow came across this 8 inch full tang. A beast! Sharpest thing I have ever owned. Good balance in the hand and a walnut handle that is way better in person than it looks in the picture. Absolutely love it. I had an issue with the handle when I first got it and they went overboard to make it right. Love supporting an American company that is personal and invested in their products. Way to go. BB-- Colorado PS. I would only hand wash this knife to keep it looking pristine. Too nice to risk any dishwasher trauma.
